How Sijil Law handles offices' and their clients' data. (Initial draft, to be reviewed by legal counsel before final adoption.)

1. What we collect

The office's and its team's account details (name, email, mobile), what the office enters about its matters, clients and documents, and technical usage data (connection address, browser type, logs).

2. Why we use it

To run and secure the service, send sign-in codes, reminders and subscription notices, support the office on request, and issue invoices. We never sell data and never use clients' data for marketing.

3. Where it is kept

On secured servers operated for Sijil Law, with full isolation between offices at the database level and encryption for stored files and connections. Hosting locations are announced per country, and an office moves to a server in its country when one is available.

4. Who can see it

The office's team by their permissions, its clients for what the office shares through the portal, and the providers the office itself connects (mail, messaging, payments). Support enters an office only with its permission, for a limited and logged time. When the AI assistant is used, the words a user says or writes, with a short list of candidate names and numbers to match them against, are sent to the AI provider the office connects or the one the platform operates; the recording is not kept after it is turned into text.

5. Rights of the office and its clients

Export data at any time, correct and delete it, and cancel the account. Data is deleted for good after the retention period that follows cancellation. For any privacy request, write to the address below.

6. Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to sign in and remember language and theme; no advertising trackers.

7. Force majeure

Sijil Law and its operators are not responsible for any failure, interruption or delay of the service, loss or late processing of data, or breach of anything in this policy, where it is caused by circumstances beyond our control that could not reasonably be foreseen or prevented, including natural disasters, fires, war, unrest, acts of government, and failures of electricity, internet, hosting, telecom or payment services the service depends on, and cyber attacks that could not be stopped despite reasonable measures. We will work to restore the service and protect data as soon as we can and tell the offices affected.
